Few drummers can make a standard drum set sound as colourful as René Creemers does. After having spent years on maximising his control over tempo, timing and the beat - essential elements for the rock drummer at heart that he used to be, and essentially still is - he set out to explore the dynamics, the sound, and the colours of his instrument. Glissandos on toms, echoes on woodblocks, reversed cymbal sounds, melodies on a single drum...

His style of playing is characterised by his strong feel for ambience and structure. It is always about the song, not about the notes. This focus is always noticeable, wheter you hear him play with a full-sized band, with the Drumbassadors, or as a drum soloist at the many Drummer Meetings and other festivals he has been attending. René teaches drums at the Arnhem Conservatory and the Tilburg Rock Academy.

The fact that you can play faster than your sound, doesn't necessarily mean you always have to. Wim de Vries is capable of playing the fastest licks and rolls, but he prefers to be noticed because of his musical ideas rather than because of the number of notes he plays. He can be powerful and explosive, but, he also loves to create the subtles of textures, using brushes, sticks - or just his fingertips. An extravert drummer with amazing control and an impressive set of twirling techniques, because he also fully appreciates the visual aspect of music.

An ambitious drummer too, one who knows what he wants, and one who can create a drumming art that makes his fellow musicians follow him, whether he plays in a jazz quartet or in Broadway-style shows like Chicago or Saturday Night Fever. Wim attended the Berklee College of Music and the Arnhem Conservatory, and he toured world wide with various groups.
